The Asus PadFone, the incredible two-in-one Android combo that grants you a phone and a tablet is getting the mini treatment – and it’s set to be officially revealed next week! Is the new Asus Padfone Mini the iPhone and iPad mini killer combo you’ve been waiting for? Read on for all the details!
The notorious @evleaks has struck again, revealing press shots of the upcoming combo gizmo, after leaking the previous PadFone 2 last year. The Android two-in-one gives you a phone that can dock into its larger tablet-sized portion, letting you kick back with a bigger screen, all while still retaining all your apps and data from your phone – only this new PadFone Mini is slightly smaller than the rest of the PadFone family.
The phone portion of the new PadFone Mini appears to be packing a 4.3-inch screen with a resolution of 960×540, downsized from the 4.7-inches of the PadFone 2, while the tablet has been reduced to seven-inches with a rumoured resolution of 1280×800. There’s currently no official word on what specs the PadFone Mini will be packing, but there have been reports saying that it’ll come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, rather than 4.4 KitKat.
Asus is hosting the official unveiling of the PadFone Mini next week in Taiwan, and we’ll be sure to bring you all the details on the latest member of the PadFone family – including the price and when it’s set to arrive.
